One of my first projects was TimeCapsule magazine, a Gen Z-focused publication centered around nostalgia and the revival of 2000s trends. In small groups, we created the entire magazine from cover to back—conducting interviews, writing fictional stories, and designing every page. Along with a few others, I conducted two interviews and wrote the fictional story Dear Future Self. My main role was working in InDesign, where I was responsible for assembling all the content and crafting layouts that reflected our theme. It was definitely a challenge, but I really enjoyed learning the ins and outs of InDesign and experimenting with different layout designs.

Another exciting project was the creation of a short film called Haunting Voice. Working in small groups, we developed a psychological drama about a man haunted by his late mother’s voice, which controlled his life and kept him isolated. When an old friend visits, he decides to resist the voice, but his rebellion only makes it grow louder. As he forces his friend out, he stumbles outside himself—and in that moment, the voice vanishes. He is finally free.

For this project, I took on the role of producer, managing all documentation, team communication, and coordination with actors. Additionally, I was part of the promotion team, handling the Instagram account and executing a marketing plan to promote the film and support crowdfunding. This was one of my favorite projects, as it pushed me beyond my usual creative passions. I really enjoyed the experience and would love to work on a similar project in the future.

It premiered during the BUAS Film Festival and we got nominated for the Best Sound Design!

Music Video - Man Without Words

Another fun project was creating a music video for a Dutch band. They had the song ready but needed a fitting visual story—and while they gave us plenty of creative freedom, they wanted the video to have a horror-like atmosphere.

For this project, my role was co-editing, ensuring the final cut matched the eerie tone we aimed for. During pre-production, I helped collect all the necessary props and wardrobe to bring our vision to life. On set, I assisted wherever needed, making sure the production ran smoothly. It was an exciting experience to blend music and visuals while working as a team to craft something truly cinematic.

Another project I worked on was creating a commercial for a fake product we developed—protein gum. Designed as a convenient alternative to protein shakes, it provided athletes with an easy, on-the-go energy boost for their workouts.

My main roles in this project were handling sound during filming and contributing to the editing process. It was a great experience combining creativity and technical skills to bring our concept to life.

Documentary Teaser & Promotion Kit

Another project I worked on was creating a documentary teaser and a promotional kit. As a group we had to find an interesting story and develop a concept for a full documentary, but instead of producing the entire film, we had to focus on filming a compelling teaser that captured its essence. My role for production was DOP! It was challenging since it was my first time, but it was a lot of fun.

Individually, we also created a promotional kit, which included a partnership proposal for a broadcaster, such as KRO-NCRV. My proposal outlined how they could support and distribute the documentary, emphasizing its social impact and the importance of shedding light on the issue at hand. I also detailed a marketing strategy to promote the film if it were fully produced and released. This project was a great exercise in both storytelling and real-world pitching, combining creative and strategic thinking.
